In conjunction with Providence Gallery Night and What Cheer Flower Festival, What Cheer Flower Farm is holding an art show and contest to celebrate the art created at and inspired by its 2019 season.
You may choose between submitting your art or poem:
For the sale at the Festival, Thursday Sept 19, 2019, 5pm-9pm. (70% commission goes to support What Cheer Flower Farm, a 501c3 charity.)
As an entry (or entries) for the Art Contest at the Festival
For both - for the sale and the contest
All submissions must have been created during the 2019 growing season and inspired directly by What Cheer's flowers, bouquets, fields or landscape, whether you follow us on social media or have visited to make art in our fields (yes, you still have time to visit to make art!)
Sale and contest categories include: Photography, Drawing/sketching, Watercolors, Paintings (acrylic or oil) and Poetry, plus a best in show 'Outsider Art' and 'Teen Art' award. Winners receive ribbons, bouquets and recognition.
Your art should be small-to-medium-sized, no larger than roughly 20"x30", and framed so it may be easily hung for display. Poems may be printed for hanging.
To participate, please:
Print and fill out this entry form (entries are free.)
Drop your framed art, with your form securely taped to it, at the Farm anytime Wednesday-Saturday 8am-10am or 4pm-6pm between now and Saturday Sept 14th.
Note: By participating, you acknowledge you own copyright to the art submitted and you allow What Cheer Flower Farm to reproduce your art, on its social feeds and Web site for publicity purposes only.
All unsold art may be picked up at the end of the Festival evening or during the following two weeks thereafter.
Thank you - we are SO EXCITED to see your art!
