The Farm urgently needs a CheerMobile - a van outfitted to transport our free flowers to hospitals, hospices, seniors and charities around the state.
We’ve raised nearly half the funds needed. Can you help?
What Cheer Flower Farm is a nonprofit, urban farm growing, rescuing, and giving away 45,000 flowers per year for social good. We have thousands of flowers growing in our fields at this moment – but no van to deliver them.
About What Cheer Flower Farm
As seen in ProJo and RI Monthly, What Cheer Flower Farm is a 501c3 charity based in Providence. We are turning an abandoned and polluted factory site into an organic flower farm and rescued flower distribution center.
All of our flowers are given away for free via local charities such as Meals on Wheels, the Ronald McDonald House, Crossroads RI and many senior centers, recovery centers, shelters and at-risk youth programs. During COVID, we are giving free bouquets to healthcare workers at hospitals.
With no van to deliver our flowers, The Farm has been relying on volunteer’s cars for transportation. The CheerMobile will be outfitted with everything needed to transport mass quantities of cut flowers, as well as water buckets and vases so we can deliver free flowers and floral programming statewide.
You Can Help Make CheerMobile Possible
Thanks to the Cameron and Norma Lewis Foundation for their initial donation of $3,000. Also, huge thanks to Perennial Planters of Providence who partnered with us to put forward a Garden Club of American Founders Fund Proposal. After an 18,000 member nationwide vote, What Cheer Flower Farm won $10,000 for the CheerMobile!
Your donation will make a direct, tangible difference to the community right away. Donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. To donate online click here.
